Project Wall
Large residential and commercial projects are no problem at Off The Wall Art & Framing. This commercial project was designed, photographed locally (we do the photography) and printed on high resolution metal. That was then raised and mounted on black acrylic and secured to the wall with standoffs. This wall is 75 feet long and the largest pieces is 48" x 90".

Glass Axe in a Hinged door frame
This very expensive glass axe was brought in for us to frame. The only stipulation was that the client wanted to be able to retrieve it when desired. We cusom made the acrylic holders so they wouldn't take away from the axe. The front frame is acually a hinged door with a catch on it to stay open if desired.

Project Design
This high-end restaurant in California was a design project with many facets. While art in the seating area was customary mat and frame, all the pictures were famil photos is many stages of disrepair. Our in-house artist was able to rescan them, bring htem back to original color and enlarge them from very small images. The entire restaurant is elegantly decorated with the family images, creating a personalized experience for their customers.

Custom Art Design
This custom designed collection was created for a high-end restaurant bar area. Canvas art was graphically created, printed on canvas and framed witha matching wood floater frame. Side pieces of the mirror image were printed on acrylic and add to the 3-dimensional appeal of the piece.

Byobu Screen
Size 124" x 60" ... Chinese folding screens, which served originally as partitions painted with serious works, were not intended to be moved around frequently. Japanese folding screens, on the other hand, served many purposes, being used for tea ceremonies, as backgrounds for concerts or dances, as enclosures for Buddhist rites, and in outdoor processions. An emphasis on mobility required a structure that would be lightweight and flexible. A lightweight but strong core was produced with a lattice of a stable wood covered with many layers of paper applied in a specific sequence, in the manner of a karibari. Flexibility was achieved by an ingenious system of strong paper hinges integrated in the panel construction, which allowed reversible folding patterns. The paper hinges brought the panels closer together, eliminating the need for intrusive frames separating panels and allowing a horizontal orientation of the picture plane. This was framed using concervations guidelines from the Smithsonian Museum. Every other hinge is elevated , taking strain off the two-way hinges. Custom made black plexiglass supports lined with an acid free material protect the delicate wooden frame wherever it is supported., thus allowing it to "breathe" while keeping it in place.

Hinged Shadowbox for Swords
Here we combined 2 frames to create a hinged shadowbox for 2 swords. Custom plexiglass holders keep swords highly visible and a fabric mat background presents a clean overall appearance. A full length piano hinge allows the door to open up and latches at the bottom keep it sealed shut.
